Moon, appointed previously <br />to act for the City in the acquisition of property <br />needed for development. Mr. Moon said the contract <br />whi'ch his attorney was prepar i ng for cons i derat ion <br />of the Counci I was not ready to submit. He said <br />he had seve~al pieces of property under negotiation. <br />He suggested thatMr, Serur appoint two Councilmen <br />to advise and consult with him until negotiations <br />reached a point of settlement. Alde~man Korf and <br />Alderman Froh agreed to serve in that capacity. <br />Mr. Moon asked if the corner of Hopkins and Blanco <br />had been definitely ruled out as a site for the <br />proposed new fire station. If so, he said, he would <br />like to be released from his agreement with the City <br />to provide the site. Alderman Whittenberg moved that <br />the City release Mr. Moon from his agreement with the <br />City to provide the site at Hopkins and Blanco. <br />Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on 1"01 I ca]l, <br />the fo Ilowi ng vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Aye: <br />Nay: <br /> <br />Damon, Froh, Korff, Whi~tenberg <br />Poo I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor i ntr.oduced and read a loud a Reso 1 ut ion <br />authorizing~n exchange of land between the City and <br />San Marcos Baptist Academy. The City Manager expl~ined <br />the advantage to the City of such an exchange. Alderman <br />Poo I moved that the Reso I ut i on be approved.
