<br />regular meeting, apri I 10, 1967 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />Counci lman Damon, recognized by the Mayor, said that <br />since the Charter provided for election of a Mayor <br />for a one-year term by the Counci I, he would like <br />to nominate EI lis Serur for that post. Mr. Damon <br />said he had observed the Mayor during his own two <br />years on the Council, and he felt it would be prof- <br />itable to continue with the same leadership. The <br />motion was seconded by Dr. Craddock, and on 1'01 I <br />call, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAINING: <br /> <br />Damon, <br />None <br />Serur <br /> <br />Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, <br />Whittenberg <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and thanked <br />his fel low-Counci Imen for their confidence in his <br />leadership. <br /> <br />Counci Iman FI6res moved that Dr. Pool be named Mayor <br />Pro Tern. Counci Iman Whittenberg seconded the motion <br />and on 1'01 I cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE; <br /> <br />Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Serur, <br />Whittenberg <br /> <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAINING: <br /> <br />None <br />Poo I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried, and Dr. Pool <br />elected Mayor Pro Tem. <br /> <br />The question of adopting rules of procedure for meet- <br />ings was introduced by the Mayor. A sample o~dinance <br />had been provided for consideration. Dr. Craddock <br />moved that members of the Council study the ordinahce <br />and be prepared to adopt rules of procedure at the next <br />meeting. Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on 1'01 I <br />cal I, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />AYE; Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur <br />Whittenberg <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Dr. Pool moved that the Counci I meetings continue to be <br />held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, at <br />7:30p.~. Dr. Craddock seconded the moticin, and on 1'01 I <br />cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur, <br />Whittenberg <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Counci Iman Whittenberg moved that the Counci I meet in <br />the Community Room of the Public Library.
