regular meeting, apri I 10, 1967 page two Counci lman Damon, recognized by the Mayor, said that since the Charter provided for election of a Mayor for a one-year term by the Counci I, he would like to nominate EI lis Serur for that post. Mr. Damon said he had observed the Mayor during his own two years on the Council, and he felt it would be prof- itable to continue with the same leadership. The motion was seconded by Dr. Craddock, and on 1'01 I call, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAINING: Damon, None Serur Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, Whittenberg I The Mayor declared the motion carried, and thanked his fel low-Counci Imen for their confidence in his leadership. Counci Iman FI6res moved that Dr. Pool be named Mayor Pro Tern. Counci Iman Whittenberg seconded the motion and on 1'01 I cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE; Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg NAY: ABSTAINING: None Poo I The Mayor declared the motion carried, and Dr. Pool elected Mayor Pro Tem. The question of adopting rules of procedure for meet- ings was introduced by the Mayor. A sample o~dinance had been provided for consideration. Dr. Craddock moved that members of the Council study the ordinahce and be prepared to adopt rules of procedure at the next meeting. Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on 1'01 I cal I, the following vote was recorded: I NAY: None AYE; Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur Whittenberg The Mayor declared the motion carried. Dr. Pool moved that the Counci I meetings continue to be held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, at 7:30p.~. Dr. Craddock seconded the moticin, and on 1'01 I cal I, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur, Whittenberg NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried; I Counci Iman Whittenberg moved that the Counci I meet in the Community Room of the Public Library.
