District School for a new schoo I be rezoned, from "R I"to '~P211, se~ attach ed. A plat of the area was examined. The Mayor said if the Counci I approved the change, an ordinance amending the zoning map would be required. Mr. Flores moved that the recommendation of .the Planning & Zoning Commission be approved, and an ordinance amending the zoning map be adopted. Mr. Damon seconded the ,motion and on roll call,the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Cr~ddock, Damon, F~ores,korff, Pool,Serur, Whittenberg. None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Herman Korff gave a land Committee report on negotiations for acquisition of a site for the water reservoir. Dr. Pool moved that Mr. Willburn's price of $11,000, plus legal fees, be accepted. Mr. Damon seconded the motion. Th~ matter was thoroughly discussed. The Zimme man property (site of the old King Drive In Theatre) had been entatively approved by the regional office of HQusing Assistanc Administration,pendi,ng one more inspection. Mr. Freudiger silid the lOCill Housing Authority Board recommended the site. Mr. Damon moved that the Council accept .the recommend- ation of h~ Housing Authority Board and approve the Zimmerman property s the site for the ildditional public housing units for San Marco Mr. Whittenberg seconded the motion.
