He I <br />stated May had been one of the best months, tp date, <br />financially, with more landings and take-offs. Ray Foster, ~ <br />Fixed Base Operator, had been absent for several months, <br />crop-dusting, Dr. Pool reported. <br /> <br />Mrs. Adah May Obenhaus gave a report on the Library. She <br />said there had been ~ large increase in both adult and <br />juveni Ie readers in June. She announced that San Marcos <br />Library would host an area work sh~p for Librarians, June 23. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an Ordinance and read it in ful I. Caption <br />of the Ordinance is as fol lows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAIMS FOR INDEBTEDNESS IN- <br />CURRED FOR THE PURPOSE OF EVIDENCING INDEBTEDNESS OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS INCURRED FOR GENERAL OpERATING PURPOSES, <br />INCLUDING SALARIES, MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, AND LEGAL~AND <br />OTHER NECESSARY GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES OF SAID CITY; <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE DELIVERY OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL PURPOSE <br />WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1967, TO EVIDENCE SAID INDEBTEDNESS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance on firs~ re~df~g. <br />Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on roll ca", the follow- <br />in~ vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Da~on, Flores,Pool, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, on first reading. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock recommended that an ordinance be prepared to <br />provide one reservedpprking space for each residence facing <br />a Southwest Texas State Col lege dormitory. The matter was <br />discussed. The City Manager was directed to talk to the City <br />Attorney on the legality of such an ordinance. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced two petitron~ of annexatidn signed by <br />H. Garland Stokes. First was fOr annexation of a portion of <br />Furman Street. The petition was read aloud, and the accompany- <br />ing p I at exam i ned. Dr.Poo I moved acceptance of the pet i t r on <br />to annex a portion of Furman Street.
