Dr. Pool gave a report on operation of the Airport. He I stated May had been one of the best months, tp date, financially, with more landings and take-offs. Ray Foster, ~ Fixed Base Operator, had been absent for several months, crop-dusting, Dr. Pool reported. Mrs. Adah May Obenhaus gave a report on the Library. She said there had been ~ large increase in both adult and juveni Ie readers in June. She announced that San Marcos Library would host an area work sh~p for Librarians, June 23. The Mayor introduced an Ordinance and read it in ful I. Caption of the Ordinance is as fol lows: AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUDITING AND ALLOWING CLAIMS FOR INDEBTEDNESS IN- CURRED FOR THE PURPOSE OF EVIDENCING INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS INCURRED FOR GENERAL OpERATING PURPOSES, INCLUDING SALARIES, MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, AND LEGAL~AND OTHER NECESSARY GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES OF SAID CITY; AND AUTHORIZING THE DELIVERY OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL PURPOSE WARRANTS, SERIES OF 1967, TO EVIDENCE SAID INDEBTEDNESS I Dr. Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance on firs~ re~df~g. Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on roll ca", the follow- in~ vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Craddock, Da~on, Flores,Pool, Serur None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, on first reading. Dr. Craddock recommended that an ordinance be prepared to provide one reservedpprking space for each residence facing a Southwest Texas State Col lege dormitory. The matter was discussed. The City Manager was directed to talk to the City Attorney on the legality of such an ordinance. The Mayor introduced two petitron~ of annexatidn signed by H. Garland Stokes. First was fOr annexation of a portion of Furman Street. The petition was read aloud, and the accompany- ing p I at exam i ned. Dr.Poo I moved acceptance of the pet i t r on to annex a portion of Furman Street.
