Mr. Damon seconded the mption and on 1"01 I call the following vote was r~corded: AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Pool, Serur NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. Serur read aloud a'petition from J. Searcy Smith, asking approval of d street forty feet ihwidth,in plac~ of th~ fifty- foot width required by the ~ubdi~ision ordinance. The letter is attached as a part of the Minutes. It was brought out in the discussion that the streets that would connect with the new street were forty feet in width. CoLlnci Iman Flores reminded the Caunci I that, if granted, a precedentwoul d be set by notab i ding by the City's ordinance. After further discussion, Dr. Pool moved that Mr. Smith's request be granted. Mrs. Worrell explained that neither of the judges appointed was able to serVe on Nov~ 14. Dr. Pool moved that the Election Ordinance be amended to name Hugo Meuth as Presiding Judge in Preciribt #14~ and James Aussant, as Alternate Jadge. The Mayor suggested that the Counci I ~eet in City Hall, as in the past, since the availabi lity of maps and other material made it a more conven i ent I ocat i on. I t was agreed by common ca.nsent that the meetirigs ~ould be held in City Hall in~he future, starting ~ith the November 27 meeting. Jim Brown, Di rector of Urban Renewa I in &In..Marcos, appeared be- fore the Counci I to discuss Project #2 of the GNRP. He asked' concurrence of the Counci I in making appl icatio~ for the 'second phase of GNRP, dnd stated that the Counci I should give Project #2 a name. by Dec. I. Mr. Brown gave a report on the things accomplish- ed by Urban Renewal in San Marcos to date. A copy of his presentat- ion is attached. Dr. Pool moved that the Council approve the ap- I ication for Project #2 of the GNRP. Mr. Serur suggested that each Counci Iman bring a suggestion for a name for Project #2 of the GNRP to the 'next meeting, Nov. 27.
