Searcy Smith, asking <br />approval of d street forty feet ihwidth,in plac~ of th~ fifty- <br />foot width required by the ~ubdi~ision ordinance. The letter <br />is attached as a part of the Minutes. It was brought out in the <br />discussion that the streets that would connect with the new street <br />were forty feet in width. CoLlnci Iman Flores reminded the Caunci I <br />that, if granted, a precedentwoul d be set by notab i ding by the <br />City's ordinance. After further discussion, Dr. Pool moved <br />that Mr. Smith's request be granted. Mr, Damon seconded the mot- <br />i on and on. 1"0 II call, the follow i n9 vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Poo 1',Serur <br />Flores <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion ~arriedi <br /> <br />The City Secretary asked that the Ordinance calling an Election <br />on the Sales Tax be amended to permit appointment of Hugo Meuth <br />and James Aussant as Presiding Judge and Alternate Judge in <br />Precinct #14. Mrs. Worrell explained that neither of the judges <br />appointed was able to serVe on Nov~ 14. Dr. Pool moved that the <br />Election Ordinance be amended to name Hugo Meuth as Presiding Judge <br />in Preciribt #14~ and James Aussant, as Alternate Jadge. Mr. Damon <br />second~d the ~otion and on 1'01 I call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon; Flores, Pool, Serur <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor suggested that the Counci I ~eet in City Hall, as in the <br />past, since the availabi lity of maps and other material made it a <br />more conven i ent I ocat i on. I t was agreed by common ca.nsent that the <br />meetirigs ~ould be held in City Hall in~he future, starting ~ith the <br />November 27 meeting. <br /> <br />Jim Brown, Di rector of Urban Renewa I in &In..Marcos, appeared be- <br />fore the Counci I to discuss Project #2 of the GNRP. He asked' <br />concurrence of the Counci I in making appl icatio~ for the 'second <br />phase of GNRP, dnd stated that the Counci I should give Project #2 <br />a name. by Dec. I. Mr. Brown gave a report on the things accomplish- <br />ed by Urban Renewal in San Marcos to date. A copy of his presentat- <br />ion is attached. Dr. Pool moved that the Council approve the ap- <br />I ication for Project #2 of the GNRP.
