BY THE ADDITION <br />OF A DEFINITION OF A "TRAILER HOUSEn TO SECTION 4. OF <br />SAID ORDINANCE; BY THE ADDITION OF A PROHIBITION AGAINST <br />BACKING VEHICLES ACROSS PUBLIC SIDEWALKS OR INTO PUBLIC <br />STREETS TO SECTION 16. OF SAID ORDINANCE; AND BY THE AD- <br />DITION OF A NEW SECTION, TO BE DESIGNATED SECTION 15.1, <br />TO CONTROL THE TEMPORARY USE OF LAND BY "TRAILER HOUSES; <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING FOR LEGAL PUBLICA- <br />TION HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />That the following definition be added to those already set out in <br /> <br />Sect ion 4" of the Zon i ng Or'd i nance of May 23, 1966: <br /> <br />Tr'ai ler House: A structur'e used fOr'I iving and sleeping pur- <br /> <br />poses, containing a minimum of 400 square feet of habitable living <br /> <br />area, having no foundation other than wheels, blocks, skids, jacks, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />horses, or skirting, and which is, has been, or reasonably may be, <br /> <br />equipped with wheels or other devices for tr'ansporting the structure <br /> <br />from place to place, whether' by motive power or other means. The <br /> <br />ter'm "Trailer House" shal I include, but not be limited to, house cars <br /> <br />and mobile homes. For the purposes covered by this ordinance, a <br /> <br />nTrailer House" is considered a single-family dwelling and is subject <br /> <br />to and shal I conform to all regulations set out in this ordinance and <br /> <br />pertaining to said single-family dwelling unless said trai IeI' house is <br /> <br />located in a trai fer camp or park on a tempor'ary basis. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />That the fol lowing subsection, to be designated number 7 be ad- <br /> <br />ded to Section 16. of said Zoning Ordinance of May 23, 1966. Off- <br /> <br />street parking on prope"ty located in a district zoned "D", "p_ln, <br /> <br />"P-Z", "M"r "C", or "I" shall be controlled so as to prevent the backing <br /> <br />of a vehicle across a public sidewalk or into a public street.
