On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Narvaiz, Mihalkanin, Montoya and Diaz. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Thomaides and Taylor. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 13A OF <br />THE A.F. WEATHERFORD SUBDIVISION LOCATED AT 1930 IH-35 SOUTH, FROM <br />~I' INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO nC" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak. 1) Paul Lewis stated he is the applicant requesting this <br />rezoning, so he can build warehouses. He stated he provided copies of <br />similar warehouses he has built in other Cities. 2) Bob Merritt stated he <br />feels Mr. Lewis' project would fit very nicely on this piece of property. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya asked if anyone else wished to speak. No one did, <br />so Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya closed the public hearing. Ms. Narvaiz moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem M0ntoya introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />approva] of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />READOPTING AND CONTINUING ARTICLE 3, CURFEW, OF CHAPTER 54, <br />MISCELLANEOUS OFFENSES, OF THE CITY CODE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE <br />LAW; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak. No one did, so Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Taylor moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Ms. <br />Narvaiz seconded he motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Montoya introduced for consideration approval of an <br />Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 79.268 ACRES, MORE OR <br /> <br /> <br />
