<br />.156b <br /> <br />preparing nec~ssary reports, compiling any criminal intelligence produced, and <br /> <br />supervising the criminal investigation aspects of the case through prosecution <br /> <br />in the courts. <br /> <br />v. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The position of Task Force Member shall be filled by personnel assigned to the <br /> <br /> <br />"Task Force" by each respective participating law enforcement agency. Members <br /> <br />assigned to the "Task Force" shall assist the Task Force Coordinator. Each <br /> <br />individual memper shall remain a full time employee of his respective law enforcement <br /> <br />agency and shall return to his regularly assigned duties upon operation completion. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />The governing bodies of Hays County and the City of San Marcos specifically limit <br />by this agreement the number of law enforcement officers available to each <br /> <br />"Task Force" operation to not more than two men from each agency respectively. <br /> <br />Said officers shall remain full time employees of the County and City respectively, <br />and shall return to their regular duties upon completion of the "Task Force" <br /> <br />operation to which they have been temporarily assigned. <br /> <br />VII. <br /> <br />Any law enforcement officer assigned to the "Task Force" shall be authorized to <br /> <br />I enforce all laws and ordinances applicable in the jurisdictions of San Marcos <br /> <br />and Hays County, including the authority to make arrests and execute search <br /> <br />warrants outside of the jurisdiction of the agency from which he is assigned, <br /> <br /> <br />but within the area covered by the jurisdictions of the city and the county <br /> <br /> <br />which are parties to this agreement and as provided in Section 2 (a) of <br /> <br /> <br />Article 999b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated. <br /> <br />VIII. <br /> <br />Wbile functIoning as a law enforcement officer assigned to the "Task Force" in <br /> <br />a jurisdiction other than the jurisdiction from which he is regularly <br /> <br />assigned, he shall have all of the law enforcement powers of a regular law <br /> <br />enforcement officer of such other county or municipality. <br /> <br />IX. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A law enforcement officer who is assigned, designated or ordered to perform law <br /> <br />enforcement duties as a member of the "Task Force" shall receive the same <br /> <br />wage, salary, pension and all other rights for such servlce, including injury <br /> <br />or death benefits, and workman's compensation benefits, the same as though the <br /> <br />service had been r.endered within the limits of the county or municipality from <br /> <br />which he was assigned. <br />
