That any person desiring a Master Heating and Air Condi- tioning Contractor License or a Journeyman Heating and Air Condi- tioning Installer License shall make application in writing to the City Heating and Air'Conditioning Inspector requesting an examinat~c covering such certificates. Application shall be accompanied by fees as hereinafter provided. The required examination fees are not refnndable. An' applicant for a M'aster Heating and Air Condi- tioning License shall' show proof in, writing to, the City Hea'ting and Air Conditioning Inspector that he has been licensed in another I city for a minimum of two :(2) years, said city having a reciprocal licensing agreement with the City of San Marcos, or proof of atten- dance and completion of courses from a certified heating and air conditioning school, and/or a minimum of five years work experience I as a Journeyman' under the supervision of a Master Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor. It shall then be the responsibility of the Board to determine whether the applicant shall be required to take the examination. F. That an applicant for a Journeyman Heating and Air Condi- tioning Installer License mast have had two or more years of experience as an apprentice. G. That the written examination shall be" given the applicant on the next day set for examinations following the filing of the application. A grade of seventy-five percent (75%) shall be the lowest passing grade. Examination papers shall be reviewed and graded by the examining board as heretofore provided, and 1:he applicant shall be notified of the results of same wi thin five (5) days after-,taking the examination. Applicants failing' in 'the firs, examination ',may' not be,'re'-examined: for fifteen:(15) days~ If the applicant is nnsuccessful in passing his'examination on the secon, attempt, he shall not be re-examined for a period of one (1) year.
