<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />38d <br /> <br />SECTION 6. APPLICATION FOR PERMIT AND INSPECTION. <br /> <br />A. That before proceeding with the installation, alteration <br />or the. addition to ary. heating ~d air condItioning equipment <br />within or on .any.building, structure, or premises, publicly or <br />privately owned,~n the City of San Marcos, Texas, the master heat- <br />ing and air conditioning contractor in charge of such proposed work I <br />shall first file with the City Heating, and Air Conditioning Inspec- <br />tor an application requesting tilie inspection and secure a p'3rmi t <br />tb~tefpre';i6.. Nothing herein shall be c'onstrued so as, to require a <br />permit or inspection of the installation of a window air condi- <br />tioning unit. <br /> <br />B. That the application for such inspection and permit <br />describing the work to be done shall be made in writing to the <br />ci ty Heating anp. Air. Conditioning Inspector by ,the master h.eating <br />and air conditioning, contractor installing the work; shall give <br />the exact street number of the premises upon wh~ch work is to be <br />done, the date the inspection is desired, name' of' the owner or <br />occupant, name of.. the heating and air condi tioningcontractor doinS!, <br />the' work, and class of installation. . <br /> <br />C. That on all applications where plans .and specifications <br />require installation above the minimum standards as set forth'in <br />this code~ the plans and specifications for. such work shall be <br />accompanied by an application foi'insp~ction. No deviations may <br />be made from the installation described in such plans and speci- <br />fications without the written approva,l of "the owner or architect. <br /> <br />D. That it is the responsibility of the,Master Heating and <br />Air Conditioning Contractor to ensure that 'building contractors <br />do not cover 'any of his work prior' to inspe'ction. <br /> <br />E. That there shall be two inspections: <br /> <br />1. Rough-in inspection, or before any work or device <br />has been 'concealed. . <br /> <br />2. Final inspection after all work hasb(en completed. <br /> <br />Request for such inspections shall be. made no. later than <br />twenty~four hours in, a~vance.. <br /> <br />F. That .the'fees for heating and air conditioning work shal <br />be paid by the person applying for permit tO,the Heating and Air <br />Conditioning Inspector at the time application is made. No permi <br />shall be issued for less than a minimum fee of five dollars. <br /> <br />G. The fee for the issuance. ofa Job permit for hea.ting and <br />air conditioning units shall. be based upon tpe size, of th.e unit <br />as follows: <br /> <br />. ' I. <br />CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING UNlr~ OR CENT~ HEATERS <br /> <br />UP TO 7 \ TONS...........:...-.;'..$5.00 <br />OVER 7 MTONS....:.-............$5.00 plus $..75 for <br />each addi tiona <br />ton over 7~ to <br /> <br />SECTION 7. EXEMPTIONS. <br /> <br />That no permit shall be required to replace any part or par <br />of heating and air conditioning units, walk-in cooler, or heatin <br />and air conditioning duct. <br />
