123-c I 6. ENCLOSURE OF LOTSPROHlBITED. From and after the effective date of these rules and regulations no enclosure of any kind, such as a fence, curbing, coping, hedge, or ditch, shall be permitted around any grave or lot in any addition. In the event an existing enclo- sure is damaged so that it becomes unsightly, is hazardous to the safety of visitors, or in any way infringes on the property of adjacent lot owners, such enclosure must be repaired or removed at the expense of the owner. In the event repair of damage or dilapidation is not possible, replacement will not be permitted. I 7. MONUMENTS, MARKERS, AND DECORATION OF LOTS. A.) No memorial, monument or grave marker (except the temporary marker placed by funeral homes) will be allowed on any burial space until the purchase price of the space has been fully paid and the deed has been delivered to the purchaser. No monument or marker may be erected without first having obtained a permit for placement from the City Secretary. Persons erecting monuments, or doing work of any kind, shall not scatter material or rubbish over adjoining lots or leave the same on the ground longer than is absolutely necessary. Persons performing work shall be required to complete their efforts as soon as possible and remove rubbish at once. Monument firms will be held responsible for any damage done by them to other monuments, grass, trees, or any object whatsoever in the cemetery, and shall at all times be subject to the control and direction of the Caretaker. Planks must be provided for dumping and rolling stone on walks or grass. All commercial enterprises are prohibited from placing their names on any work or signs placed within the cemetery when such work or signs are designed or calculated to advertise the firm or product. No monument work will be permitted in the cemetery on Saturday after- noons, Sundays or holidays observed by the City or before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:30p.m. on any weekday. Lot owners shall be required to go to the cemetery and to locate the placement of monuments prior to the construction of the foundation; otherwise the City will assume no responsibility for the correct location, and any changes ordered by the owners will be made at their expense, No upright monuments or markers will be allowed in the Dixon Addition or in Sections "N" and "Mil of the Old Original Addition of the San Marcos Cemetery.
