RFA 210 -006
At Wells Fargo, quality customer service is one of our primary concerns. Any of your
employees that enroll in our Paycard service truly become a Wells Fargo customer and
will be treated with the service you would come to expect as an account holder. This is
important for the City to understand that it's not your responsibility to become a middle
man for the employee and the bank.
9. Will the bank handle the escheatment process for terminated employees?
If the City's terminated employee does not cash this check, Wells Fargo will handle the
escheatment process.
10. Describe data transmission requirements and deadlines?
To fund cards quickly, securely, and in a manner consistent with your other payment
methods, the City will transmit Wells Fargo PayCard payroll disbursements via ACH,
which is a batch settlement application. Our Commercial Electronic Office Internet ACH
service provides the District same day PayCard funding.
The PayCard administration site is a web based application and does not require
hardware or software to access. Reports are downloadable so they can be reformatted to
upload to the City's systems.
11. Define all services charged to the card holder.
Details on all Card Holder fees are located in Appendix: Treasury Management Services
B. IMAGE LOCKBOXES The City currently does not use an image lockbox service
for the receipt and collection of utility bills. Payments are received directly by the City in
check form and deposited through the standard deposit services. The City may
consider an image lockbox alternative for physical checks to be implemented through
the new banking contract. Provide the following information:
1. Describe fully the bank's ability to provide an image or standard retail lockbox
service.
Wells Fargo's Lockbox services deliver comprehensive, flexible remittance processing that can
substantially streamline your customer's accounts receivable function.
We offer the largest image lockbox network in the nation with sites coast -to -coast and in
Canada. When you choose our wholesale lockbox image services, you'll have less paper
to store and easier access to the information you need to research and apply payments.
Use the Internet to Access Images. We provide images to you through our
Commercial Electronic Office (CEO Internet portal. Wells Fargo maintains a
seven year archive of images.
Retrieve Batches of Images. Batch Image Retrieval, available for small volume
customers who process fewer than 3,000 images per month, is a service that
allows customers to retrieve and print PDF files containing complete batches of
images. Batches are comprised of 25 checks and their associated documents.
