RFA 210 -006
Customers rely on wholesale lockbox services to streamline the receipt of payments. It's
critical, therefore, that the lockbox service is reliable. Further, in the event that a system
error or failure does occur, we must correct it quickly to minimize any disruption to
service.
Wells Fargo has contingency plans in place for both minor and major system failures. Our
qualified personnel can handle most simple repairs.
We have established maintenance agreements with all of our major hardware vendors. In
the event that a serious error or malfunction takes place, we contact the vendor, who is
required to send a repair technician as soon as we report the trouble.
Our approach ensures that system malfunctions —small or large —are handled as
expeditiously as possible. This ensures that we process your payments with minimal
delay.
17. Describe the data transmission process (BAI, 823, 820, or other) and provide all
sample reports to be received by the City. What transmission protocol is used?
What options are available? Is their full Magnetic Ink Character Recognition
( "MICR ") capture?
Wells Fargo supports a variety of transmission methods including secure Internet protocols —
HTTPS, FTP /S, SFTP, and AS2 —or Connect:Direct with Secure +.
Prior to implementation of your lockbox services, your treasury management sales consultant will
work with you to determine the best transmission option for The City.
18. What is the earliest transmission time that information is available on the daily
deposit(s)? Intra -day? Is this information available on -line?
Transmission times are flexible. Depending on your lockbox volume and the complexity
of your processing instructions, it may be beneficial for you to receive a later
transmission.
Prior to the implementation of your lockbox services, your treasury management sales
consultant will work with you to establish a transmission schedule that meets all of your
requirements.
Please note that transmission services are not available at all locations. If you require
transmission services, your treasury management sales consultant can assist you in
selecting a lockbox location that provides this service
19. Who is responsible for handling adjustments and error resolution? How?
Because we credit all deposits processed through our lockbox network into Wells Fargo
accounts, we're responsible for handling all adjustments and resolving any errors that
may occur. This saves you from having to work with multiple institutions to resolve
inconsistencies.
C. PROCUREMENT CARDS Provide a full description of the purchasing card
program the applicant has available. Provide the following information:
