RFA 210 -006
1. What card platform(s) does the applicant support (MC/ Visa) and is a third party
processor used?
Due to its wide acceptance globally and to its ability to make rich data available to you quickly,
Wells Fargo uses the Visa card platform. The ease of obtaining card program data and reports,
and integrating it with your other systems, is, in our opinion, unsurpassed with this program.
As our strategic partner, Visa also helps us assist many companies by sharing the benefits and
costs of commercial card integration, establishing program goals and metrics, assisting on
purchase process reviews, discussing integration challenges, reviewing and testing inbound file
configuration, and discussing report generation and usage.
Wells Fargo has the capability of branding MasterCard and Visa. We selected VISA as the
platform for our program because it provides the "global or vast" merchant acceptance, enhanced
data and business continuity necessary for customers like The City to improve processes and
gain control through better visibility
2. What information is available online and when? Describe data download,
integration, and reporting capabilities.
With the WellsOne Commercial Card, all expenses incurred are exportable and can be posted
to your financials during the month in which they occur. This faster processing cycle is one of the
program's major strengths: not only is it more efficient and financially beneficial than individual
liability programs, it also provides the secure electronic reporting and timely expense posting that
SOX requires. You will be able to post transactions within weeks of the monthly statement close,
including reconciliation, approval and posting to General Ledger (GL).
Timeliness of reporting data is also a key benefit. Management reporting is available via Wells
Fargo's online application 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This includes the ability to export data
to comma - delimited files, spreadsheets and other formats for continued manipulation and
analysis, as needed. Cardholders can access their own reports; approving managers can view,
print and export data from all their direct reports; and your Program Administrator(s) receive a full
company view. You may also grant global access to auditors for spot reviews and to accounts
payable (AP) for vendor management.
3. Does the applicant have online transaction review? Account allocations?
We offer The City a high degree of customization, which reduces labor and ensures closer
alignment with your way of doing business. You get a vast array of standard and ad hoc reports,
including transaction summaries and details; declined transactions; merchant summaries and
details; top ten carriers, hotels and car rental agencies used; cash advance summaries and
employees' personal out -of- pocket reports. In fact, many commercial card customers use our
system as a one - source document for out -of- pocket expenses. It allows non - cardholders, as well
as cardholders, to complete their expenses and receive reimbursement by direct deposit to their
designated checking or savings accounts. Users quickly adopt this process because it is simple,
quick to learn and use, and provides all the information needed to define a transaction, and code
it accurately, with minimal manual intervention.
Your program administrators and approvers can create custom queries for retrieving relevant
data to analyze spending patterns, monitor cardholder activity trends, and identify frequently used
vendors. The ease of obtaining card program information, and integrating it with other systems, is
unsurpassed: there are 70+ data points available for export into a pipe, tab or fixed length file.
Best of all, the commercial card functions the same in all markets, so there is one consistent
reporting platform for all your employees, international and domestic.
