Council also provided <br />staff with supplemental budget requests concerning: 1) a Neighborhood Liaison for the <br />ACT program; 2) better audio equipment; and 3) funding a curator position. Staff will <br />come back with more information to determine when these requests could be <br />implemented. Staff was also asked to discern how HOT funds could assist in the <br />Downtown Master Plan. <br />Mr. Menchaca also presented a corrected spreadsheet for the Hotel Occupancy Tax with <br />the changes notated in red. <br />18. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against a tax increase, and <br />announce the date, time and place of the public meeting at which the City <br />Council will vote on the tax rate and give direction to staff. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 10:42 p.m. to receive comments for and <br />against a tax increase. There being no public comments, Mayor Narvaiz closed the <br />Public Hearing at 10:43 p.m. <br />The Council will vote on the proposed tax rate on September 16, 2008. <br />19. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2008-25, adopted August 5, 2008, amending the <br />future land use may from Low Density Residential to Commercial for Lots 3. 4, part • <br />of 5, part of 6, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, part of 20 and part of 21, located at 1504 <br />Aguarena Springs Drive, 515 Zunker and 528 Zunker; amending the official zoning <br />map of the city by rezoning this tract from "SF-6" Single-family Residential to <br />"CC" Community Commercial; and amending the official zoning map of the city by <br />rezoning lots 1 and 2 out of the Charles Meiners Subdivision, generally known as <br />1503 Thorne Lane, from Unzoned to "CC" Community Commercial. <br />There was no reconsideration of Ordinance 2008-25. <br />20. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2008-26, amending the official zoning map of the <br />city by rezoning parts of Lots 3 and 4, Original Town of San Marcos from "CC" <br />Community Commercial District to "CBA" Central Business Area; located at 214 <br />San Antonio Street. <br />There was no reconsideration of Ordinance 2008-26. <br />21.
