Consultant and with notice to the Contractor. <br />1.7 ADDITIONNA.L SERVICESICIIANGE IN SERVICES <br />1.7.1 Since the Consultant's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Consultant for <br />Additional Services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described <br />in this Agreement. The Consultant will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain <br />the City's authorization before initiating any additional services. The following are specifically <br />considered to be additional services: <br />a) Construction phase surveying; <br />b) A water Pollution Abatement Plan (INTAT) if required; <br />c) Preparation of a floodplain study or research to determine if one is necessary or has <br />been performed, or detailed drainage studies to analyze conveyance of off-site runoff <br />involving HEC-1, HEC- -2 or other similar hydrologic or hydraulic analyses including <br />survey cross sections, field notes and easements. <br />d) CLOMR or LOMR preparation or communication with F.E.M.A. <br />e) Environmental assessments, wetlands, endangered species, and KARST feature <br />investigations. <br />f) Archeological studies. Since the proposed fields are designed on existing ball fields <br />and since possible floodplain encroachment will prevent the fields from being <br />lowered from their existing elevation, no archeological studies are anticipated or <br />included in this Agreement. <br />g) Design of detention and water quality facilities. <br />h) It is anticipated that the Project will be bid as a single bid contract but may include <br />bid alternates as determined by the City. Preparing documents for separate or <br />sequential bids and providing out -of sequence services requested by the Owner are <br />specifically not included under this Agreement. <br />i) Providing services for furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and professional <br />Interior Design Services. <br />1.7.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by the <br />Consultant must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form <br />attached to this Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in <br />addition to that specified for Basic Services in accordance with Article 15 of this Agreement. <br />The approval of the San Marcos City Council is necessary for all additional services the <br />compensation for which exceeds $50,000.00. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROJECT ASSUMPTIONS <br />2.1 Project assumptions include: <br />Luck Design — Gary Sports Complex Improvements — Phase I Project Agreement <br />13 <br />
