Support legislative action to increase highway funding to better keep pace <br />with the City's priority infrastructure needs. <br />iii. Support legislative action to provide a revenue stream for freight rail <br />relocation. <br />iv. Support legislative action to provide funding for the creation of a <br />centralized, inter -city commuter rail line on the I -35 corridor in the <br />Austin -San Antonio region. <br />Support legislative action to protect against tax base erosion. <br />i. <br />Oppose legislative action to erode the local sales tax base through <br />permanent elimination of taxable items or changing the point of collection <br />of the tax. <br />ii.
