1. 14.2 Provide five (5) bound copies and one (1) unbound copy of the final report and one <br />electronic copy of the report in Word and PDF formats. In addition, the Consultant will provide <br />the following electronic deliverables: <br />a) All collected field data in Microsoft Access 2010 format; and <br />b) All report text, exhibits, and graphics. <br />1.15 TASK 15 — TCEQ EARZ ASSISTANCE <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.15.1 Provide assistance to City staff in preparing a request for variance from the Texas <br />Commission on Environmental Quality ( "TCEQ ") Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone ("EARZ") <br />regulations. The Engineer will include in the Request for Variance a proposal to allow the City <br />to comply with EARZ regulations by applying wastewater pipe and manhole testing methods as <br />described in these basic services in place of the requirement for internal inspection of all <br />wastewater assets located in the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone in lieu of current TCEQ <br />requirements. <br />1. 15.2 Attend four (4) meetings with City staff and/or the TCEQ regarding TCEQ's <br />consideration of the Request for Variance to EARZ published compliance requirements. <br />1. 15.3 Provide the Request for Variance document and related correspondence between the <br />Engineer and TCEQ for City review and City's coordination with TCEQ. <br />1.16 TASK 16 — CLEANOUT VERIFICATION <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.16.1 Identify the existence of sewer service line cleanouts at the property line (public side) of <br />each recorded City parcel. The Engineer will investigate an estimated 2,000 parcels for clean out <br />identification in accordance with the City's parcel list for the study area. The collected data from <br />each identified parcel will be recorded electronically and linked to the City of San Marcos GIS. <br />1.17 ADDITIONAL SERVICES /CHANGE IN SERVICES <br />1.17.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Engineer for Additional <br />Services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this <br />Agreement. The Engineer will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's <br />authorization before initiating any additional services. The Consultant's provision of inframetrix <br />inspection services and heavy duty sewer cleaning are specifically considered to be additional <br />services. A variance of more than 5% of the estimated quantities as stated herein, will be <br />grounds for a request for additional compensation. <br />Burgess and Niple, Inc.
