1. 17.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by the Engineer <br />must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Article 13 of this Agreement. The approval of <br />the San Marcos City Council is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br />exceeds $50,000.00. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The City will: <br />2.1 Provide full information to the Engineer regarding the City's requirements for the <br />Engineer's services under this Agreement. The City will furnish the Engineer with copies of <br />data and information in the City's possession needed by the Engineer at the Engineer's request. <br />2.2 Designate Jennifer Shell, P.E., Senior City Engineer as the City's Project Manager and <br />authorized representative to act on the City's behalf with respect to this Agreement. The City <br />will examine the documents and information submitted by the Engineer and promptly render <br />responses to the Engineer on issues requiring a decision by the City. <br />2.3 Provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the Engineer to enter public and <br />private property as required for the Engineer to perform its services under this Agreement. <br />2.4 Provide assistance in locating and opening existing manholes, cleanouts, and access <br />devices as required. <br />2.5 Provide access to all system appurtenances in the study area. <br />2.6 Provide a listing of persons to be notified on a daily basis regarding work locations <br />during smoke testing. The City will approve the content of smoke fliers. In addition, the City <br />will provide any available information regarding community groups in the study area. <br />2.7 Provide water for cleaning operations and the designation of an approved disposal site for <br />debris /sediment removed from the system. The City shall provide review and approval of line <br />segments recommended for cleaning and inspection. <br />2.8 Be responsible for the cost of City right -way permits and police escorts as required. <br />2.9 Provide the personnel and equipment necessary to remove the television camera should it <br />become lodged in the sewer main during operations. The City, however, assumes no liability for <br />damage to the television camera and/or other equipment and the Consultant agrees to exercise <br />Burgess and Niple, Inc.
