20. Discussion and direction to staff regarding City Council compensation. <br />•Mayor Pro -Tem , Ryan Thomason gave a brief explanation to Council and Staff. Mr. Thomason <br />proposed the option of moving $500 from travel over to compensation, and an additional $250 from <br />elsewhere. The Council's consensus was to have this topic go for further review by the Finance and <br />Audit Committee. <br />21. Discussion and direction to staff regarding the contract with the Hays Caldwell Women's <br />Center in regards to the up to $500,000 matching grant which City Council approved on June <br />1, 2010. <br />Steve Parker, Finance Director, provided Council with an update and history regarding the City's <br />involvement with the Hays Caldwell Women's Center. Council directed staff to bring back a <br />contract for approval. <br />22. Discussion and direction to staff regarding setting a day for future packet meetings. <br />Jim Nuse, City Manager, suggested meeting on a Friday at noon and then reevaluate to see if <br />necessary and come back to talk about a different time or day. City Council agreed and also <br />directed staff to televise the meetings. <br />23. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. This is an opportunity for the Press and <br />• Public to ask questions related to items on this agenda. <br />Andy Sevilla with San Marcos Local News asked: Any others not accept compensation? <br />What about Phone stipends? <br />24.
