<br />Draft 4/14/05 <br /> <br />1.9 TASK 8 - RELOCATION SERVICES <br /> <br />For residential and business property (includes any personal property) the Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.9.1 Notify all property owners and potential displaced property owners of their eligibility for <br />relocation assistance and provide them with a TxDOT Relocation Assistance Brochure at the <br />time of initial contact. Advise property owners of preliminary relocation benefits at this time. <br /> <br />1.9.2 Contact and provide relocation assistance to property owners and tenants affected by <br />acquisition of right of way and complete TxDOT form D-15-96, for all displaced property <br />owners. <br /> <br />1.9.3 Locate, evaluate, and maintain files on comparable available housing to complete <br />TxDOT Form D-15-106. <br /> <br />1.9.4 Calculate replacement housing supplement benefits for TxDOT Form D-15-107. <br /> <br />1.9.5 Compute and submit request for relocation housing/rental supplement to the City on <br />appropriate TxDOT forms D-15-107 (original and 2 copies) with supporting TxDOT forms D- <br />15-1 06 (original only) with photos attached. <br /> <br />1.9.6 Provide to the property owner and tenants a 90-day notice to vacate simultaneous with <br />the delivery of relocation benefits package. <br /> <br />1.9.7 Sixty days from the date of the provision of the notice to vacate if displaced property <br />owners and tenants have not vacated and if the parcel has been acquired, issue a 30 day notice <br />letter. <br /> <br />1.9.8 Notify the City immediately if a displaced property owner or tenant does not vacate the <br />property after the 30 day notice expires. <br /> <br />1.9.9 Perform an inspection of the replacement housing to determine if it is decent, safe, and <br />sanitary in accordance with TxDOT's ROW policy. Prepare and complete TxDOT form D-15- <br />116 and submit to the City. <br /> <br />1.9.10 Prepare moving plan complete with appropriate photos and sketches along with an <br />inventory of personal property to be moved for non-residential moves. <br /> <br />1.9.11 Request moving estimates from moving companies as needed. <br /> <br />1.9.12 Coordinate moves with displaced homeowners, business owners, and tenants and with <br />moving companies in accordance with TxDOT procedures. <br /> <br />6 <br />
