Consider adoption of Resolution 2011 -35R approving the San Marcos Police Department's <br />submittal of a grant application to the Texas Attorney General's Crime Victims Services <br />Division to provide partial funding of the Victim Services Coordinator Position: authorizing <br />the City Manager or designee to sign the grant application, declaring an effective date <br />13. Consider adoption of Resolution 2011 -36R approving the extension of annual contracts <br />with KBS Electrical Distributors, Inc. and with Texas Electric Cooperatives Inc for the <br />purchase of pad mounted transformers; authorizing the Purchasing Manager to execute the <br />appropriate documents related to these contract extensions on behalf of the City and declaring <br />an effective date. <br />14. Consider approval of Change Order #3 with Texas Sterling Construction in the amount of <br />$57,180.32 for the Rio Vista Terrace Reconstruction Phase II <br />15. Consider adoption of Resolution 2011- R approving authorization of Change in Services <br />No. 1 to an agreement between the City and C112M Hill Inc for the provision of additional <br />Professional engineering services in connection with the City's Wastewater Conveyance <br />Proiects; increasing the original contract amount from $35,000.00 to $84,970.00, authorizing <br />the City Manager to execute the authorization of Change in Services and declaring an effective <br />date. is <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Jones and a second by Council Member <br />Prather, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion <br />carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />16. 8:OOPM Public Hearing to receive comments for and against an annexation to the City an <br />area consisting of 6.17 acres, more or less, out of JM Veramendi Survey No 2 (A -17 -2 TR 280) <br />located west of Post Road (south Booth Street and north of Claremont Street); approving a <br />service plan for this area. <br />At approximately 8:04 p.m. Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, stated that she cannot believe that this neighborhood is being <br />ready to be destroyed. Can you not leave some areas of town with SF? <br />There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 8:05 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Prather and a second by Council Member <br />Porterfield, the City Council voted (6) for and (2) opposed, Council Members Terry and Jones, to <br />approve the service plan for this area.
