<br />(5) The mesh oL!!lY fence is small enough so that the animal cannot become stuck in it. <br /> <br />(6) Animals that are restrained by a fence. leash. rope, cord. or wire are able to reach their <br />food, water, and shelter at all times. <br /> <br />( c) Fences must be constructed or cquipped to prevent the animal from climbing over or digging <br />under them. <br /> <br />(134) Every owner or handler of an animal shall exercise control over the animal to prevent it <br />from becoming a public nuisance. <br /> <br />(6~) Every owner or handler of a dog or cat in heat shall confine the animal in a building or <br />secure enclosure that prevents any contact between the animal and any other animal, except for <br />planned breeding. <br /> <br />(f) No owner or handler of a dog or cat may leave the animal attached to a stationary obiect in <br />a public place. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.082. Abandonment of Mminiature swine, dogs and cats. <br /> <br />W No person shall abandon a miniature swine, QIltdog or cat upon moving out of residential <br />premises occupied by the person. For purposes of this subsection, a miniature swine, a dog or <br />0.cat is deemed abandoned if it is left on the premises previously occupied by the person for a <br />period of 24 hours or more after public utilities serving the premises are discollilected. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.083 Keeping of miniature swine. <br /> <br />(b9c) Miniature swine may be kept within the city subject to the following: <br /> <br />(1) No more than one miniature swine may be kept per household or business. <br /> <br />(2) Miniature swine must be spayed or neutered on or before the age of three months so that <br />no breeding occurs within the city. <br /> <br />(3) No adult male miniature swine may be kept unless his tusks have been surgically <br />removed. <br /> <br />(4) Miniature swine must be vaccinated annually for rabies and erysipelas by a licensed <br />veterinarian beginning at the age of four months. <br /> <br />(5) Miniature swine must not exceed 18 inches at shoulder height and 90 pounds in weight. <br /> <br />(6) Miniature swine must be kept indoors except for temporary brief periods.
