<br />(2) The animal should be provided with a supply of clean, fresh water at all times. <br /> <br />(3) The animal should be provided with clean, palatable food suited to the animal. <br /> <br />(4) If the animal is confined, the method of confinement should allow the animal to stand. <br />lie down, and move about without iniury or entanglement. <br /> <br />(5) The animal should be provided with routine veterinary care. <br /> <br />(6) The animal should be provided with veterinary care within a reasonable time when the <br />animal is ill or iniured. <br /> <br />( e) These guidelines are not exclusive. Animal services staff members may use other reasonable <br />criteria to detelmine whether sufficient care is being provided to an animal. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.086 Maximum number of dogs and cats allowed. <br /> <br />(a) Each residence shall have no more than tive dogs or eight cats or a combination of dogs and <br />cats that exceeds a total of eight unless: <br /> <br />(1) The owner pays an additional animal permit fee; and <br /> <br />(2) The owner agrees to allow the health department to inspect the residence to ensure that <br />the owner is maintaining proper care and cleaning of the animals and proper sanitation of the <br />areas where the animals are kept. <br /> <br />Secs. 6.()84087--6.110. Running at large. <br /> <br />No owner of livestock or fowl shall cause or permit any such animal to run at large upon any <br />public property within the city or upon private property other than that of the owner. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.112. Sale of livestock upon public property. <br /> <br />(a) No person shall conduct a sale or auction oflivestock, fowl or other animals upon any public <br />property within the city limits. <br /> <br />(b) No person shall conduct a sale or auction of livestock, fowl or any other animal that causes <br />or induces other persons to assemble upon public property within the city. <br /> <br />12 <br />
