<br />(c) It is an exception to the application of this section that the wild birds or fowl in question are <br />destroyed after they have congregated in such numbers at a location that they are determined to <br />constitute a nuisance or public health threat by the environmental health department. <br /> <br />(d) Employees of the city, peace officers, park rangers, emergency personnel and state personnel <br />are exempt from this section to the extent that it conflicts with their official duties. <br /> <br />Secs. 6.013--6.035. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2. DOGS, CATS AND MINIATURE SWINE <br /> <br />DIVISION 1. GENERALLY <br /> <br />Sec. 6.036. Sale and distribution of animals on public property. <br /> <br />(a) It is unl<:J.}yful t~~_':l:"person tQ distribute a puppv, kitten, dog or cat upon public property within <br />the city limits. "Ihis does not apply to persons affiliated \vith state certified humane associations <br />that fil~.~LCOJ:D.l)l.G.1Y.d registration forn} with the animal servic;~s manager. The association must <br />notify animal control of the date and time of the distribution. <br /> <br />(b) No person shall sell puppies, kittens, dogs or cats upon public property within the city limits. <br /> <br />Secs. 6.037--6.055. Reserved. <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. LICENSE <br /> <br />Sec. 6.056. Required. <br /> <br />(a) The owner of any dog, cat or miniature swine over four months of age and residing within <br />the city shall obtain a license annually for the animal, in compliance with this division. <br /> <br />(b) No dog or cat shall be licensed unless it has a current rabies vaccination as prescribed by <br />section 6.167. <br /> <br />(c) No miniature swine shall be licensed unless it has a current rabies vaccination, a current <br />erysipelas vaccine and a current veterinarian's statement verifying the animal's size. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.057. Application. <br /> <br />(a) Application for a license required under this division will be made at the city animal shelter <br />or at any local veterinarian's office, upon a form as prescribed by the effief-animal services <br />manager control officer, accompanied by a copy of the animal's current valid vaccination <br /> <br />7 <br />
