Presentation of results to the San Marcos City Council. The re-rating evaluation will be based on information from the record "As Built" construction drawings of the plant and plant operating data. 1.3 TASK 2 - ENGINEERING DESIGN PHASE SERVICES It is agreed by both parties to this Agreement that the extent of the improvements needed/authorized by the City will not be determined until Task 1 is completed. However, the City is aware of desired improvements to the High Service Pump Station. The design phase services for the High Service Pump Station improvements will be included in the Basic Services. The design of additional improvements identified as a result of Task 1 will be included as Additional Services. The Engineer will: 1.3.1 Prepare detailed plans, specifications, contract documents, designs and layouts of improvements to be constructed as one construction project. 1.3.2 Provide the City with advice with respect to the making of all subsurface investigations, including borings, test pits, soil resistivity surveys, and other subsurface explorations; however, the making of such investigations and the interpretations of data and reports by special consultants are not a part of the services to be rendered by the Engineer, and the cost therefore shall be paid by the City. 1.3.3 The Engineer shall monitor and review the work of testing laboratories and inspection bureaus required for the testing or inspection of materials, witnessed tests, factory testing, etc., for the Project, but the cost of such laboratory tests shall be paid by the City. 1.3.4 Furnish the City, when requested, the engineering data necessary for applications for routine permits required by local, state and federal authorities including general Corps of Engineers 404 permits. 1.3.5 Submit plans, specifications, and contract documents to the applicable federal and state agency(s) for approval, where required. 1.3.6 Furnish such information necessary to utility companies whose facilities may be affected or services may be required for the Project. 1.3.7 Prepare an opinion of probable construction cost, and bidder's proposal forms (project quantities) of the improvements to be constructed.
