1.3.3 Coordinate the integration of design, surveying, right of way issues, traffic control, utility engineering, ADA compliance, permitting, and other services as previously approved. All submittals will utilize City of San Marcos specifications and standards. 1.3.4 Upon the City's approval of the preliminary engineering report, finalize design documents to include final refinement of the sidewalk design plans, environmental protection, traffic control (if needed), and all construction details required to complete the Project. 1.3.5 Design handicapped ramps on all intersections and construct transitions on all driveways. 1.3.6 Assist the City with the preparation of front end construction contract documents, using forms supplied by the City, based on the approved preliminary design documents and any further adjustments authorized by the City in the scope, quality or budget of the Project. Prepare bid tabulation forms and technical specifications using City of San Marcos standards. These contract documents will include detailed plans and technical specifications required for the Project to be accurately bid and efficiently constructed. 1.3.7 Use its best professional judgment to create documents that comply with applicable construction and development codes, local regulations and ordinances and other federal and state regulations which are known or which should reasonably be known to the Consultant including those required under the ADA and Article 9102, V.A.C.S., Architectural Barriers Act, as amended. The Consultant will be responsible for the submission of all plans and specifications for the construction of this Project to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for review and approval prior to the time construction is set to begin in conformance with the Architectural Barriers Act. The costs associated with the submission of plans for review under the Architectural Barriers Act will be paid by the City. 1.3.8 Assist the City in the coordination of the Project with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. 1.3.9 Prepare an environmental assessment of the Project in accordance with Exhibit A of this Agreement to ensure that there is no impact to the environment. 1.3.10 Ensure that no reports, maps, or other documents produced in whole or in part under this Agreement shall be the subject of an application for copyright by or on behalf of the Consultant. 1.3.11 Coordinate with City for a ten day call to confirm prevailing wage decision issued by HUD. City will provide wage rates when requested. 1.3.12 Obtain approval from the appropriate City inspectors for all technical plans and specifications necessary for successful completion of the Project prior to allowing the 4
