RFP 211 -037 <br />correspondence from the Proponent to CenturyLink. The first conversion or <br />"cutover" will be at the Municipal Building at 630 E Hopkins Street. <br />3. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements for the installation of any <br />equipment and /or cable are as follows. <br />a) Federal Communications Commission ( "FCC ") Rules and Regulations, Part <br />68 "Connections of terminal equipment to the telephone network ". <br />b) Electronic Industry Alliance ( "EIA) /Telecommunications Industry Association <br />( "TIA ") -568 -A Commercial Building Telecommunications Wiring Standard; <br />EIA/TIA- 569 - Commercial Building Standard for Pathways and Spaces; <br />EIA/TIA- 606 - Administrations Standards for the Telecommunications <br />Infrastructure of Commercial Buildings; EIA/TIA- 607 - Commercial Building <br />Grounding and Bonding Requirements for Telecommunications; EIA /TIA <br />TSB -67- Transmission Performance Specifications for Field Testing of <br />Unshielded Twisted Pair ( "UTP ") Cabling Systems. <br />c) National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, NFPA No. 70. <br />D. PROPONENT RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful Proponent is responsible for <br />goods and services involved in the turnkey installation, activation and maintenance of <br />the Project, including any new or enhanced services that require equipment and /or <br />cable, such as cable connectors, jacks, support devices, mounting brackets and boards, <br />racks, proper grounding, interface equipment, system equipment, peripheral equipment, <br />station devices, training, etc. It is essential that the installation be as transparent as <br />possible to City staff and their customers, with a minimum of telephone service <br />interruptions, changes in temporary dialing procedures and degradation of quality <br />service. <br />The successful Proponent's project management team will remain on site during the <br />cutover. A successful cutover is defined as 100% of all services procured under this <br />RFP and resulting contract being operational at each site. <br />E. PROJECT MANAGER: The successful Proponent will designate a project manager <br />who will have full authority to act on its behalf. The project manager will be the primary <br />source of contact for the City and will be deemed as the successful Proponent's <br />employee most responsible for ensuring accurate and effective implementation of its <br />services under the agreement. <br />F. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The schedule of events for the implementation of <br />services for the Project is detailed below. The final schedule of events will be <br />negotiated between the City and the successful Proponent. The City will provide the <br />Proponent with a two week notice of any scheduling adjustments.
