GROUNDING: The successful Proponent will be responsible for proper <br />communications grounding and bonding in accordance with the National Fire Protection <br />Association ( "NFPA ") as well as any local codes that specify additional grounding and /or <br />bonding requirements. The successful Proponent will verify that the City's <br />telecommunications grounding system is consistent with the equipment manufacturer's <br />recommendations for equipment protection and personnel safety and will bear all costs <br />for this. <br />S. LIGHTNING PROTECTION: The successful Proponent is responsible for proper <br />communications lightning protection in accordance with the NFPA as well as local <br />codes that specify additional lighting codes or requirements and will bear all costs for <br />this. <br />4. SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />A. PREPARATION OF PROPOSAL: Proponents are encouraged to submit concise <br />and clear responses to this RFP. Responses of excessive length or complexity are <br />discouraged. The City reserves the right to include the selected proposal or any part or <br />parts of the selected proposal in the final contract. <br />B. REIMBURSEMENTS: The City makes no commitment to any proponent of this <br />RFP beyond consideration of the written proposal. The City will not reimburse <br />proponents for the costs incurred in preparing proposals, presentations, etc. <br />C. COLLUSION: By submission of a proposal, the Proponent certifies, and in the case <br />of a joint proposal each party certifies as to its own organization, that in connection with <br />any cost proposal submitted by the Proponent, the prices which are quoted are not the <br />product, direct or indirect, of any collusion with any other proponent, and have not been <br />knowingly disclosed by the Proponent directly or indirectly to any other proponent prior <br />to submission to the City. <br />D. EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF PROPOSALS: All proposals must state the period for <br />which the proposal will remain in effect. Such period will not be less than 120 days from <br />the proposal due date. <br />E. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Inquiries regarding this RFP will be submitted in <br />written form only, and must be received by 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Zone, Daylight <br />Savings Time ( "DST ") or ten (10) calendar days prior to the proposal submission date. <br />Inquiries may be mailed, emailed, or sent via facsimile. All inquiries must include a <br />contact person, address and facsimile number.
