The City of San Marcos RFP # 211 -037. <br />• National Command Center— Led by senior VP of National Network <br />Operations with dedicated national command center leaders to coordinate <br />and support nationally the prevention and recovery efforts of the regional <br />command centers and other support organizations. <br />• Regional Command Center — Led by the Regional Vice - president of Field <br />Operations with dedicated regional command center leaders to coordinate <br />prevention and recovery efforts; Area Operations Managers engage directly <br />with regional command center <br />Working closely with other major business units, National Network Operations has <br />developed emergency operations plans specific to each District within its <br />operating territories which include extensive planning, incident management, and <br />disaster recovery and business resumption. These plans are updated yearly, or <br />more frequently if required to ensure information is current. Plans include: <br />• Identification of disaster recovery team members <br />• Teams may be activated at the National, Regional, or Area level <br />depending on the situation and the impact to the company <br />• Detailed responsibilities of each team member <br />• Service restoration priorities <br />• Identification of key personnel <br />• Location of restoration equipment (such as emergency generators, etc.) <br />• Escalation procedures <br />• Communications priorities and procedures <br />• Vendor contacts and adequate vendor business continuity plans to ensure <br />the vendor's capability of providing contracted services in the event of a <br />disaster. <br />• Proactive measures to aid recovery and business resumption include <br />agreements with other carriers and service providers <br />Our Call Centers and Customer Care Centers have established disaster recovery <br />plans to augment the efficient handling of customer complaints and repair issues. <br />Customer Care Center management is engaged as a member of the disaster <br />recovery team. <br />The National Network Operations organization has a long and strong tradition of <br />protecting our network and providing quality service to its customers, even in the <br />most adverse of conditions. <br />H. REMOTE MONITORING CAPABILITIES <br />Provide detailed information of remote monitoring capabilities of the T1 services installed <br />at City location(s) (See Section 3.N). <br />Every circuit is monitored 7 x 24 x365 days per year by the Network Support <br />Center Surveillance Group.
