Zoning Maps, and download application fonns to simplify the development process. TASK 4.0 -- DEVELOPMENT AND PRESENTATION OF REVISED ZONING MAP (Optional- not a part of this Contract) A. Following preparation of the zoning regulations portion of the Land Development Code (or concurrently with such), the Consultants will, at the option of the City, draft a new Zoning Map for the City which incorporates any new zoning districts created in the new regulations. Initial City review and general consensus on the text component of the zoning regulations should be accomplished prior to preparation of the Zoning Map (see commentary in sub- task B below). B. Once the initial review of the text is accomplished, the Consultant will draft the proposed Zoning Map. Legally, the map is a part of the Zoning Ordinance division. A "true and correct" Zoning Map must be approved at the same time the text or Code Ordinance is approved. Once the text has been reviewed, focus should then be given to the map. Often, the map receives as much or more attention than does the text. The Zoning Map will be compiled using the City's existing lot and block base map with appropriate transition to any new or updated zoning districts. C. The map will be presented to the City staff, the Steering Committee, and to elected and appointed officials, similar to the process outlined in tasks for the draft Code text. If authorized to prepare a new Zoning Map, this task should be initiated after Task 2.3 above. The Zoning Map will also require workshops to agree on a general zoning pattern for the City that is responsive to the San Marcos Horizons Plan (including Sector Plans). The result of this task will be a draft Zoning Map showing the recommended zoning districts. (As a by-product of this task, the Zoning Map can be loaded and/or linked on the City's web site- see sub-task 2.1E above). [two meetings} VENDOR ASSUMPTIONS It is assumed the City will provide or be responsible for the following: 1. Existing ordinances in digital format (only those which are to be included in the new Code as approved). 2. Coordination and notification of all meeting times and places. 3. Costs associated with public hearing notifications and related printing costs.
