The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 15, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO DODGE DAKOTA TRUCKS FOR THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FROM MAXWELL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP THROUGH THE TEXAS <br />BUILDING AND PROCUREMENT COMMISSION; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS WITH THE STATE ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Taylor moved for adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Bose inquired as to the use of the proposed <br />Dodge Dakota trucks. Chief Williams stated these proposed Dodge Dakota <br />trucks will be used as narcotics vehicles. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 16, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as ~. <br />follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR CHEVROLET IMPALA FULL SIZE SEDANS FOR <br />THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM CAPITOL CHEVROLET, INC. THROUGH THE TEXAS <br />BUILDING AND PROCUREMENT COMMISSION; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS WITH THE STATE ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Diaz moved for adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Bose inquired as to the use of the proposed Impala <br />sedans. Chief Williams stated the proposed Impala sedans will be used by <br />the investigative staff.
