Whenever the Contractor notIfies the Engmeer or the CIty of subsurface or phYSIcal condItIons at the Project SIte for WhICh such notIficatIOn IS reqUIred by the constructIOn contract, the Engmeer wIll adVIse the CIty and mspect the condItIOns at the SIte The Engmeer WIll adVIse the CIty as to the appropnate actIOn(s), and WIll aSSIst the CIty m respondmg to the Contractor Engmeenng and technIcal servIces that are reqUIred to mvestIgate the subsurface or physIcal condItIOns WIll be conSIdered AddItIOnal ServIces The Engmeer and the CIty agree that as part of the Engmeer's BaSIC ServIces, the Engmeer wIll complete five specIalty mspectIOns and perform testmg servIces for the new odor control facIhtIes, electncal Improvements, SCADA (I&C) mstallatIOn and mechamcal mstallatIOns. The Engmeer wIll perform the agreed specIalty mspectIOns and testmg m accordance WIth the constructIOn contract documents 1 15 18 Obtam from the Contractor a proposed shop drawmg and submIttal schedule, whIch WIll IdentIfy all shop drawmgs, samples and submIttals reqUIred by the constructIOn contract, along WIth the antICIpated dates for submIssIOn. The Engmeer wIll coordmate WIth the deSIgn team for the reVIews of the Contractor's shop drawmgs, samples, and other submIttals. The Engmeer WIll log and track all shop drawmgs, samples and submIttals. Such actIOn wIll be taken WIth reasonable promptness, but generally not to exceed 15 days or such penod of tIme as WIll not cause delay of the ProJect. It IS assumed that 140 submIttals and 60 re-submIttals WIll be made by the Contractor The Engmeer and deSIgn team's reVIew of all shop drawmgs, samples and submIttals WIll be for general conformance WIth the deSIgn concept and general comphance WIth the reqUIrements of the constructIOn contract. Such reVIew wIll not reheve the Contractor from ItS responsibIhty for performance m accordance WIth the constructIOn contract, nor IS such reVIew a guarantee that the work covered by the shop drawmgs, samples and submIttals IS free of errors, mconsIstencIes or omISSIOns.
