Regular Meeting February 15, 2005 Page 10 Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0 193 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 236 STILLWELL STREET, FROM "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "SF-4 5" SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT, INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONSi AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak 1) Shawn Ash stated this is one tract with two houses He stated the heirs of this property are requesting a zoning change from commercial to single family He stated this zoning request was unanimously passed by the Planning and Zoning Commission Mayor Narvaiz asked if anyone else wished to speak No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing Mr Thomaides moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance, and Mr Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AMENDING SECTION 2 042 OF THE CITY CODE TO BUSINESS FOR REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGSi PROVISIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CHANGE THE ORDER OF INCLUDING PROCEDU~ Mr Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, and Mr Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance The Council did not wish to reconsider this Ordinance The caption reads as follows AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOTS 6 AND 7, BLOCK 19 OF THE VICTORY GARDENS, SECOND ADDITION, LOCATED AT 326 WAVELL STREET, FROM "R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "SF-4 5" SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICTi INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONSi AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING AN 81 881 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2700 BLOCK OF NORT IH-35 AS "GC" GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONSi AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES
