<br />1.4.25 Ensure that all notices and signs required and provided by the City are posted in <br />the appropriate locations at the Project site. <br /> <br />1.4.26 Conduct final inspection with the City to check conformance of the Project with the <br />requirements of the contract documents and to verify the accuracy and completeness of <br />the list submitted by the Contractor of work to be completed or corrected and to prepare <br />a punch list prior to final acceptance by the City. <br /> <br />1.4.27 When the Project is found to be substantially complete, the Consultant will inform <br />the City about the balance of the Contract Sum remaining to be paid to the Contractor, <br />including any amounts needed to pay for final completion or correction of the Project. <br /> <br />1.4.28 Receive from the Contractor and forward to the City: (1) consent of surety or <br />sureties, if any, to reduction in or partial release of retainage orthe making offinal payment <br />and (2) affidavits, receipts, releases and waivers of liens or bonds indemnifying the City <br />against liens. <br /> <br />1.4.29 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, review the completed Project with <br />the City and the Contractor and have all deficient items corrected. The extent ofthe duties, <br />responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Architect as the City's representative <br />during construction will not be modified or extended after the construction contract <br />documents have been authorized by the City to be competitively bid without written consent <br />of the City and the Architect and with notice to the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.4.30 If professional design services or certifications by a design professional related to <br />systems, materials or equipment are specifically required of the Contractor by the Contract <br />documents, the Architect will specify appropriate performance and design criteria that the <br />services must satisfy. Shop Drawings and other submittals related to the work designed <br />or certified by the design professional retained by the Contractor will bear the professional's <br />written approval when submitted to the Architect. The Architect will entitled to rely upon <br />the adequacy, accuracy and completeness of the services, certifications or approvals <br />performed by these design professionals. <br /> <br />1.5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />1.5.1 Since the Architect's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Architect for <br />additional services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services <br />described in this Agreement. Basic Services include up to 12 meetings/presentations <br />during Task 1 and Task 2 and up to 30 observation visits during Task 3. The Architect will <br />submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before <br />initiating any additional services <br /> <br />1.5.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by <br />Architect must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form <br /> <br />8 <br />
