1.4.25 Ensure that all notices and signs required and provided by the City are posted in the appropriate locations at the Project site. 1.4.26 Conduct final inspection with the City to check conformance of the Project with the requirements of the contract documents and to verify the accuracy and completeness of the list submitted by the Contractor of work to be completed or corrected and to prepare a punch list prior to final acceptance by the City. 1.4.27 When the Project is found to be substantially complete, the Consultant will inform the City about the balance of the Contract Sum remaining to be paid to the Contractor, including any amounts needed to pay for final completion or correction of the Project. 1.4.28 Receive from the Contractor and forward to the City: (1) consent of surety or sureties, if any, to reduction in or partial release of retainage orthe making offinal payment and (2) affidavits, receipts, releases and waivers of liens or bonds indemnifying the City against liens. 1.4.29 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, review the completed Project with the City and the Contractor and have all deficient items corrected. The extent ofthe duties, responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Architect as the City's representative during construction will not be modified or extended after the construction contract documents have been authorized by the City to be competitively bid without written consent of the City and the Architect and with notice to the Contractor. 1.4.30 If professional design services or certifications by a design professional related to systems, materials or equipment are specifically required of the Contractor by the Contract documents, the Architect will specify appropriate performance and design criteria that the services must satisfy. Shop Drawings and other submittals related to the work designed or certified by the design professional retained by the Contractor will bear the professional's written approval when submitted to the Architect. The Architect will entitled to rely upon the adequacy, accuracy and completeness of the services, certifications or approvals performed by these design professionals. 1.5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES 1.5.1 Since the Architect's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Architect for additional services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this Agreement. Basic Services include up to 12 meetings/presentations during Task 1 and Task 2 and up to 30 observation visits during Task 3. The Architect will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional services 1.5.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Architect must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form 8
