Steve Ramsey, 3206 Yellow Pine, asked the Council for positive consideration on the rezoning <br />and subdivision redevelopment on behalf of his client. He stated that low impact development <br />standards are being implemented. He thanked Matthew Lewis and his staff as well. <br />There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 7:36 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council <br />Member Scott the City Council voted (6) for and (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2011 -61, as <br />previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. The Council provided direction to Staff <br />for the applicants to provide more renderings of the project prior to the December 6, 2011, <br />meeting. <br />19. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments for or <br />against Ordinance 2011 -62 amending the Official Zoning May of the City by rezoning a <br />149.14 acre, more or less, tract of land (Phase 1 of The Preserve at Windemere Subdivision) <br />located alone Lime Kiln Road approximately one mile Northwest of the intersection of <br />Lime Kiln Road and Post Road from "SF -R" Sinele- Family Rural Residential District to <br />"PDD" Planned Development District with base zonine of "SF -R" Single- Family Rural <br />Residential District: approving Planned Development District Standards for The Preserve <br />At Windemere Phase 1 Planned Development District: includine procedural provisions; <br />and providine for penalties: and consider approval of Ordinance 2011 -62 <br />Matthew Lewis, Development Services Director, provided Council with a brief presentation on <br />this request. <br />Following the presentation Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing at approximately <br />7:42p.m. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, stated her concerns for the placement of this single family <br />project being placed between two earthen dams. She stated it is not a safe place to build and that <br />it is a bad idea. She has concerns about the potential flooding in this area. <br />Joel Richardson, no address available, spoke as a representative for the property owners. He <br />stated that their PDD application will provide that the development is built above and beyond the <br />Code. <br />There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 7:48 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott and a second by Council Member <br />Terry the City Council voted (6) for and (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2011 -62, as <br />previously captioned.
