1.10.9 Incorporate TxDOT standard bridge details for rails, standard beam details, and other
miscellaneous bridge construction.
1.10.10 Prepare the following deliverables (in addition to deliverables identified in Task 9):
a) Bridge Layout submission to TxDOT Bridge Division at 30% including Bridge
Layout, Typical Sections, Hydraulic Data Sheets, and Plan- Profile sheets.
1.11 TASK 11— FINAL TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
1.11.1 Prepare Signing and Pavement Marking sheets at a scale of 1 " =40'. Design signing and
pavement markings in accordance with the Texas Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Include signage identifying the bike route within the corridor.
1. 11.2 Develop small sign summaries and sign details for non - standard traffic signs.
1.11.3 Prepare traffic signal design modifications for the existing traffic signal at Hunter Road
and Bishop Street
a) It is anticipated that the existing signal poles will be relocated due to widening of
Hunter Road. The Engineer will develop plans for installing new signal poles with
appropriate mast arm lengths, signal heads, ADA compliant pedestrian signal heads,
push- buttons, and ramps, conduits, wiring, cameras for vehicle detection, and
illumination at the intersection. Existing signal cabinet will be inspected in the field to
determine if it can be reused for the new signal. Any existing signal infrastructure that is
not being reused will be salvaged back to the City. All existing communication
equipment including radio and antenna will be reused at the new signal.
b) The Engineer will determine appropriate sequence and phasing of construction to
maintain signal operation at all times. The Engineer will prepare the following sheets as
part of signal modifications plan set:
• General notes associated with signal modifications;
• Proposed signal layout;
• Signal elevation;
• Electrical wiring and conduit charts;
• Phasing and street name sign;
• Existing conditions;
• Quantity summaries.
1.11.4 Design Continuous Roadway Illumination
a) The Engineer will develop illumination plans for continuous lighting on both sides of
the road along the entire stretch of the project corridor. The Engineer will utilize
luminaires as selected to blend with the corridor aesthetic scheme and develop a
photometric model using lighting software AGi 32 to determine that minimum
"Illuminance" requirements are satisfied. The Engineer will conduct electrical and
Kimley Hom — FM 2439 (Hunter Road)
20
