The Engineer will: <br />1.13.1 Develop up to two (2) concepts for the Hunter Road landscape and streetscape elements. <br />The Engineer will prepare a presentation board to include an overall plan view rendering of the <br />project, typical sections, and typical photos /examples of site amenities. The <br />landscape /streetscape items considered for this task are as follows: <br />a) Entry monuments and theme to transition to the Historic District. <br />b) Purgatory Creek bridge aesthetic treatment and monuments. <br />c) Landscape design for the Project <br />• Accent plantings to coordinate with the Purgatory Creek Apartments. <br />• Street tree layout along Hunter road. <br />• Planting design for parkway, to include lawn areas, planting beds, and plantings <br />for the LID drainage features. <br />d) Hardscape design for the Project <br />• Specialty pavement design at intersections, crosswalks, medians, and sidewalks <br />with paver design and/or stained concrete. <br />1. 13.2 Following City the approval of the conceptual design, the Engineer will incorporate <br />additional design review comments from the conceptual development phase and proceed with <br />final design. The Engineer will prepare layout plans for landscape and hardscape features noted <br />in Section 1. 13.2 with a scale of 1 "= 40'-0" (assume 8 sheets), with callouts and detail sheets for <br />the noted hardscape elements and landscape planting materials (assume 4 sheets). <br />1.13.3 Prepare irrigation design for a fully automatic irrigation system, designed to provide full <br />coverage to all proposed landscape features and lawn areas included in this scope (assume 10 <br />plan and detail sheets). <br />1. 13.4 Prepare special specifications and provisions to be included in the construction contract. <br />1.13.5 Quantify landscape and streetscape items and include with the Opinion of Probable <br />Construction Costs. <br />1.14 TASK 14 - BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION <br />The Construction phase of this Project will commence with the award of the construction <br />contract and will terminate when the Project is accepted by the City. The Engineer will: <br />Bidding <br />1.14.1 Assist the City in advertising for bids on the Project including the preparation and <br />issuance of addenda (if any) following the City's prior approval. The Engineer will respond to <br />bidder clarification questions during the bidding process.
