The Council then <br />oted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for reconsideration Item 26, adoption of a <br />Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN ADVANCE FUNDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE STATE <br />OF TEXAS ACTING THROUGH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE <br />NORTH LBJ DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved to reconsider the Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for <br />adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin moved to amend the Resolution to read . . . Resolution in Part <br />1. to read ... Texas Department of Transportation(TxDOT) is approved in <br />substantially the form attached to this resolution, and Part 2. to read <br />. is authorized to negotiate final changes to the Agreement and to execute <br />the Agreement on behalf of the City, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, <br />hich passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption <br />f the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of seven appointments <br />to the Beautification Commission. Mr. Diaz moved to appoint Mark Boling as <br />a master garden organization representative, Mr. Thomaides moved to appoint <br />Alex Demetriadis as a citizen-at-large representative, Mayor Narvaiz moved <br />to appoint Patrick Kirwin as a landscape designer representative, Mr. Jones <br />moved to appoint Mark Carter as a landscape designer representative and Mr. <br />Jones moved to appoint Jim Settle as a citizen-at-large representative, <br />which passed unanimously. The remaining two appointments will be <br />rescheduled. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Ethics Review Commission. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Angie Toth <br />and Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Fraye Stokes. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br />Toth: Mihalkanin and Bose. <br />Stokes: Thomaides, Guerrero, Narvaiz, Diaz and Jones. <br />ayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to <br />he Minority Tourism Development Board.
