69. <br />Regular Meeting February 7, 2006 Page 12 <br />to appoint Angie Toth as the citizen-at-large representative, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Youth Commission. Mr. Thomaides moved to appoint Miguel Guerrero, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Thomaides moved to appoint Bill <br />DeSoto, Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Allen Shy, Mayor Narvaiz moved to <br />appoint Randy Bryan and Mr. Jones moved to appoint Sam McCabe. Mayor <br />Narvaiz inquired as to future Planning and Zoning Commission decisions to <br />be made. Carol Barrett, Director of Planning and Development, stated there <br />are several short range planning projects. She stated the Commission is <br />also working on the SUP guidelines, development programs and the <br />development of the Master Plan for the downtown area. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br />DeSoto: Thomaides, Guerrero, Mihalkanin and Bose. <br />Shy: None. <br />Bryan: Narvaiz and Diaz. <br />McCabe: Jones. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Animal Shelter Advisory Board. Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Sonya <br />Kraus as the animal welfare organization representative, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Housing Authority Board. Mr. Diaz moved to appoint Herod King Ellison <br />as the Housing Authority resident representative, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of <br />an ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL AND MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR A 20.1942 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN <br />THE 400 BLOCK OF STAGECOACH TRAIL, AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING <br />MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM FD FUTURE DEVELOPMENT <br />DISTRICT AND PH-ZL PATIO HOME - ZERO LOT LINE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT T <br />TH TOWNHOUSE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO TH <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR
