Task 7 Economic Development Joint Development Framework — The Consultant will work <br />with City staff on the inclusion of any potential joint development infrastructure such as <br />Intermodal Transit/Parking facilities which can serve as a transit hub as well as create related <br />economic development opportunities. In this regard, the Consultant will project market impact <br />information of any joint development facilities in terms of added property and sales tax values, <br />and other positive impacts of such facility. <br />Deliverable: Economic Development Framework <br />Task 8 LONP Request — The Consultant will prepare and submit a LONP request to the FTA <br />that defines the pedestrian/transit access improvement program, the benefits associated with the <br />improvements, and potential impact to environmental resources. The Consultant will respond to <br />FTA comments and questions to ensure timely response to the request for the LONP. The <br />approved LONP will enable the City to qualify local expenditures for future federal <br />reimbursement. <br />Deliverable: LONP Request to the FTA <br />Task 9 Intergovernmental Assistance - Consultant will provide intergovernmental support to <br />coordinate activity with local political sub - divisions required to institutionalize the plan within <br />the ongoing regional planning process. Activities in pursuit of this task will include <br />presentations of the overall program and environmental assessment to the FTA, the local <br />Metropolitan Planning Organization, and response to questions raised by all reviewers, if <br />required. <br />Consultant activities include but are not limited to the following: <br />• Meetings with public officials, stakeholders, and community leaders <br />• Meetings and Presentations with City staff, City Council, CAMPO, Tx.DOT, FTA <br />Regional Office <br />• Intergovernmental coordination with federal and state and local agencies <br />• Pursuit of federal funding through the CAMPO TIP selection process <br />• Pursuit of federal funding through the FY 2013 Congressional Transportation <br />Appropriation process <br />• Pursuit of federal funding directly with DOT, HUD, Commerce (EDA Office), EPA, etc. <br />PART B: <br />Scope of Services for San Marcos Designated Recipient and FTA Grantee Status <br />Consolidated Transit District, Operating Plan and Finance/Implementation Strategy <br />The City, along with Kyle, Texas, are likely to be joined together as a new small urbanized area <br />when the results of the 2010 U. S. Census changes to urbanized area boundaries are announced <br />17 <br />
