<br />I <br /> <br />K. Belt and Shaft Guard: Stainless steel construction galvanized then painted with <br />tachometer hole, OSHA approved. Provide shaft and bearing guard. <br /> <br />L. <br /> <br />The field installed and operating fan inboard and outboard bearing motions will not <br />exceed 1.5 mils peak-to-peak in any direction when measured in the 'filter out" <br />measurement mode at the fan maximum operating speed and any lower speed. <br />"Filter in" measurements are not acceptable. The instrument system used must have <br />a flat response down to 120 rpm. PROPONENT will measure the vibrations after <br />start-up in the presence of the CITY or CITY's representative. <br /> <br />M. Fan vibrations that exceed 1.5 mils, as described above, during operation in the <br />warranty period will be reduced by PROPONENT. PROPONENT can choose to <br />dynamically balance the fan in place using a recognized specialist, replace bearings <br />or make structural modifications to reduce the vibrations, as approved by the CITY or <br />CITY'S representative. <br /> <br />N. PROPONENT will furnish and install a sticker identifying the fan maximum operating <br />speed. Speed changes that exceed this value are not permitted. <br /> <br />O. Provide fan with flanged inlet and outlet flexible connections. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />P. <br /> <br />Inlet Vane Damper: <br />1. Furnish and install a Type 316 stainless steel manually operated multiple blade <br />inlet vane damper on the suction side of each odor control exhaust fan. <br />2. Rated for air velocities up to 4,000 fpm. <br />3. Materials of Construction: <br />a) Frame: Type 316 stainless steel channel. <br />b) Blades: Type 316 stainless steel. <br />c) Bearings: Molded PTFE. <br />d) Axles: Type 316 stainless steel rod. <br />e) Linkage: Type 316 stainless steel. <br />f) Hub: Bullet nose, FRP. <br />g) Operating Lever: Crank lever for hand quadrant, Type 316 stainless steel <br />construction. <br />4. Ends: Flanged with bolt holes drilled. <br />5. Manually operated with quadrant locking mechanism. <br />6. Provide Type 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers for flanged <br />connections to fan and fan inlet box or flexible connector flange as required. <br />4. 7. Product and Manufacturer: Provide one of the following: <br />a) Swartout, Model 851 FG. <br />b) Ruskin, Model HD-IVD. <br />c) Or equal. <br /> <br />o. <br /> <br />O. Coatings: <br />1. Metal Fan Parts: <br />a. Prepare metal surfaces in accordance with Steel Structures Painting <br />Council SSPC-SP 5-63 white metal blast cleaning. <br />b. Baked epoxy phenolic or "cold set" epoxy-phenolic amine cured, brush or <br />spray coats in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. <br /> <br />R. <br /> <br />R.
