Frame <br /> <br />Fiberglass reinforced plastic with vinyl ester resin. <br /> <br />B. Blade <br /> <br />Fiberglass reinforced plastic with stiffeners as <br />required. <br /> <br />C. Flanges <br /> <br />Flanges will comply with PS-15 Table 5 at a design <br />pressure of 25 psi and will have ANSI/ASME B16.1, <br />Class 25 diameter and drilling. <br /> <br />2.02 FABRICATION <br /> <br />A. Dampers will be of the single blade type complete with channel type frame, close <br />fitting blade, full-length axle, and bearings. The damper will be constructed of <br />fiberglass reinforced plastic using a vinyl ester resin and will have the same inside <br />dimensions as the connecting piping. All fiberglass reinforced plastic fabrications <br />will have a flame spread of 25 or less when tested in accordance with ASTM E84. <br />The axles will be not less than 3/4-inch in diameter and will be continuous through <br />the damper. Unless noted otherwise, dampers will be installed with flanged <br />connections. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Dampers denoted for balancing service will be equipped with a blade stop. <br />Dampers denoted for isolation service will be equipped with full circumference blade <br />edge seal, angle type blade stop, and shaft seal. <br /> <br />15910-2 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />
