<br />RFP 24-057 <br /> <br />587 -0702 <br /> <br />SECTION 11065 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />MANUFACTURED ODOR CONTROL SYSTEM <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SCOPE <br /> <br />A. The purpose of this specification is to describe the odor control system <br />requirements for high-tech procurement. <br /> <br />B. The PROPONENT will furnish, install, startup, and test up to five (5) separate odor <br />control systems to treat odors in accordance with the requirements of this <br />specification. <br /> <br />1. One (1) odor control system will treat the combined foul airflow from the <br />following sources at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant rNWTP) Site: <br />a. Headworks Area <br />b. Primary Clarifiers <br />c. Solids Handling Area <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2. Up to four (4) additional odor control systems of identical treatment design <br />capacity will treat the foul air from interceptor and wetwell headspaces at <br />various locations within the City's wastewater collection system, primarily <br />involving either siphons or Lift Station wetwells. <br /> <br />C. Each system will include, but will not be limited to, biological odor treatment units <br />(biofilter, bioscrubber, or biotrickling filter) operating under pressure or under a <br />vacuum, with humidification system, irrigation system, piping, vessels or <br />containers, inorganic media, valves, pumps, ductwork, inlet air plenum, distribution <br />plenum, foul air blowers, conduit, wiring, control system compatible with the WWTP <br />SCADA system and other necessary appurtenances to contain, transport and treat <br />the foul air from wastewater facilities as indicated. Single-stage oraganic systems <br />are NOT acceptable. <br /> <br />1. At the WWTP, the PROPONENT will connect its system to a 60-inch <br />diameter foul air collection ductwork that will be constructed by a separate <br />contractor hired by the CITY. The separate CITY contractor will also provide <br />any concrete pads required for the installation of the odor control system. <br />Likewise, a 460-V, 3P connection at a J-box will be provided by the CITY <br />contractor at the treatment unit for connection to the odor treatment system. <br />Signal wiring from plant SCADA to the odor control system control panel will <br />be provided by the CITY. A non-potable water connection will be provided by I <br />the CITY at the location of the odor treatment system inside the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant; potable water service will be provided at all Uremote- <br />locations. Where potable water is provided, the PROPONENT will be <br /> <br />11065-1 <br />
