RFP 24-057

587-0702

B. System: Special equipment warranty will be for 10 years from final acceptance of
the project and will provide for repair and/or complete replacement of the blowers,
duct work, scrubber structure or vessel, electrical wiring, and controls in the event
of corrosion damage, including equipment, materials, labor, and any and all costs
associated with repair or replacement.

C. Media: Special equipment warranty will be for 10 years from final acceptance of
the project and will provide for complete replacement of the media, including
equipment, materials, labor, and any and all costs associated with washing,
replacing or regenerating the media as needed. Media failure includes increase in
pressure drop through the media such that the specified airflow rates are not
achievable with the installed equipment and/or the failure of the media to meet
specified odorant removal levels.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 PERFORMANCE AND DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

A. Source Characteristics

1.

Wastewater Treatment Plant:
This odor control unit will treat foul air from the WWTP headworks, primary
clarifiers, and solids handling facilities. The CITY is currently in the process
of defining what the ultimate solids handling facilities will encompass. For
the purposes of this RFP, the PROPONENT will assume that foul air from
the solids handling facility will include air from sludge holding tanks and an
expanded sludge dewatering facility using centrifuges and an enclosed truck
loading bay. The final determination for the solids handling facility will be
made prior to requesting the final and best offer.

The following table will be used as a preliminary basis for process design
and selection. A proposal will be submitted for treating three different
airflows as indicated in the table. This information will be updated during the
negotiation process, if necessary.

I

I

Foul Air Source Totals
Foul Air Flow, cfm 21,000 25,000 30,000
Inlet Hydrogen Sulfide 5-50 5-50 5-50
Concentration Ran es, m
Inlet Ammonia 0-150 0-150 0-150
Concentration, Ran es m
Other inlet odorants Reduced Reduced Reduced
Sulfides, Sulfides, Sulfides,
Amines, Amines Amines
Ambient Air Temperature 0-120 0-120 0-120 I
OF

11065-7
