<br />RFP 24-057 <br /> <br />587-0702 <br /> <br />1. A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) for process control. PLCwill be <br />Allen Bradly or approved equal. <br />2. An electrical disconnect. <br />3. Each motor will have a HOA switch with indicator lights. <br />4. An alarm light and horn with silencer. <br />5. An air flow indicator for each vessel or cell. <br />6. Level indicators and alarms for liquid levels, where appropriate. <br />7. Alarm contacts for future connection to plant SCADA system. <br />8. An airflow indicator on ductwork pulling air from enclosed spaces where <br />personnel may be present. <br />9. PLC will be wired for remote monitoring of alarms for the collection system <br />odor control units. <br />10. An instrument to monitor the consumption of energy by the system. <br />11. One (1) air flow meter on the blowers exhaust ductwork at the WWTP to <br />measure the total airflow through the odor treatment system. <br /> <br />This list is not intended to completely depict all of the functional requirements of <br />the system provided under this Section. The PROPONENT will provide all <br />additional instrumentation and controls necessary to produce a safe and operable <br />system. The specific control system proposed will be subject to the approval of <br />the CITY or CITY'S representative. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 GENERAL <br /> <br />The PROPONENT shall be responsible for installing the odor control system and making <br />all connections to the necessary utilities provided by the CITY. Installation of the <br />equipment is not anticipated for a six month period from the selection of the successful <br />PROPONENT to allow the CITY adequate time to design and award a construction <br />contract to install the concrete pads and utility services. The PROPONENT should <br />schedule its delivery and installation accordingly. The PROPONENT will also be <br />responsible for assisting in the startup and testing of the installed equipment.. <br /> <br />3.02 STARTUP AND TESTING <br /> <br />A. Startup of the odor control system will be done in accordance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />B. In the presence of the CITY and the CITY's engineer, PROPONENT will test the <br />operation of the odor control system. Testing will take place two to six weeks after <br />startup of the unit or as recommended by the PROPONENT. Final acceptance will <br />not be made until after successful completion of the performance testing and <br />receipt of installation report. <br /> <br />C. Testing Equipment: PROPONENT will supply the equipment listed below for the I <br />duration of the performance testing. Equipment will remain on site until <br />performance testing has been accepted by the CITY or CITY'S representative. <br /> <br />11 065-11 <br />
