<br />RFP 24-057 <br /> <br />587 -0702 <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Permits: Obtain certificates of inspection and other permits required as a part of the <br />work. <br /> <br />1.05 ELECTRICIAN'S QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />A. PROPONENT shall retain the services of an acceptable electricion for the work under <br />this Section. The electrician must have the experience, training, and skill to provide a <br />practical working system. The electrician will have previous water and wastewater <br />experience with at least 5 years in business. <br />1. The PROPONENT will be required to furnish acceptable evidence of its retained <br />electrician having installed not less than three systems of size and type <br />comparable to this project. <br />2. The systems must have served satisfactorily for not less than 3 years. <br />3. The superintendent must have had experience in installing not less than three <br />systems. <br />4. The PROPONENT will submit qualifications of his electricians who will work on <br />this project. <br /> <br />1.06 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WORKMANSHIP, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. All electrical work will be performed by workmen skilled in the electrical trade and <br />licensed for the work by the local authority. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />A licensed Master Electrician will be required for the issuance of a building permit for <br />constructing, installing, altering, maintaining, repairing or replacing any electrical <br />wiring, apparatus, or equipment on any voltage level. A licensed Master Electrician or <br />a licensed Journeyman Electrician is required to be on the job site during the <br />performance of any electrical work. <br /> <br />C. All cable splicing methods and materials will be of the type recommended by the <br />splicing materials manufacturer for the cable to be spliced, and will be approved by the <br />CITY prior to installation. <br /> <br />D. All materials and equipment will be installed in accordance with the approved <br />recommendations of the manufacturer and the best practices of the trade, and in <br />conformance with the contract requirements. The PROPONENT will promptly notify <br />the CITY in writing of any conflict between any requirements of the contract and <br />manufacturer's directions, and will obtain written instructions from the CITY before <br />proceeding with the work. Should the PROPONENT perform any work that does not <br />comply with the manufacturer's directions or such written instructions from the CITY, it <br />will bear all costs arising in correcting deficiencies. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />All equipment and materials will be new, unless specifically noted otherwise, and will <br />bear the manufacturer's name, trademark and ASME, Ul, and/or other labels in every <br />case where a standard has been established for the particular item. Equipment will be <br />the latest approved design of a standard product of a manufacturer regularly engaged <br />in the production of the required type of equipment, and will be supported by a service <br />organization that is, in the opinion of the CITY, reasonably convenient to the site. <br /> <br />F. It is the responsibility of the PROPONENT to insure that items furnished fit the space <br />available with adequate room for proper operation and maintenance.
