<br />RegulN "Meeting <br /> <br />December 13, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Mayor <br />of an <br /> <br />Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />CHANGING THE NAME OF LEAH STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE <br />HIGHWAY 123 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SUNFLOWER LANE, TO WEST DEZAVALA <br />DRIVEj INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONSj AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Taylor moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, and Mr. Guerrero <br />seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated this street name change would <br />increase public safety by reducing the potential for confusion in an <br />emergency. He stated this is why this Ordinance is being considered on <br />emergency. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ESTABLISHING THE NAME OF AN UNNAMED STREET BETWEEN LINDA DRIVE AND <br />NORTH INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AS REBECCA STREETj INCLUDING PROCEDURAL1 <br />PROVISIONSj AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Diaz <br />moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />CHANGING THE NAME OF DEZAVALA DRIVE, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE <br />HIGHWAY 123 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH STAPLES ROAD (FM 621), TO EAST <br />DEZAVALA DRIVEj INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONSj AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak.
