<br />W The terms of office of members of the library board are two years and will <br />begin October 1 of the year of appointment. The tenns are staggered so that the <br />terms of four members expire in odd numbered years, and thc terms of three <br />members expire in even numbered years., with four members being appointed in <br />odd-numbered years. and three members being appointed in even-numbered <br />years. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(b) Notwithstanding subsection (a) of this section, library board members will <br />continue in office until their successors arc duly qualified. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Section 2.332 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining <br />indicates added text; overstrike indicates deleted text). <br /> <br />Sec. 2.332. Composition; qualifications and appointment of members. <br /> <br />The airport commission consists of nine members. Three members of the <br />commission may be either residents or nonresidents of the city. All other <br />members of the commission will be residents of the city. Members of the <br />commission are appointed by the city council in January of each year. Members <br />will serve staggered terms of two years, except that ','acancies or ne'.vly created <br />positions 'sill bc filled for the unexpired tcrm to be filled. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. Section 2.360 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining <br />ll1dicates added text; overstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sec. 2.360. Created; composition; terms; officers. <br /> <br />(a) The arts commission is created, composed of seven members appointed by the <br />city council. <br /> <br />(b) The city council will endeavor to appoint persons to this commission who <br />represent a variety of the arts, including music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture, <br />photography, and graphic and craft arts. <br /> <br />(c) The members of the commission are appointed for two year staggered term~, <br />with four members being appointed in September of even-numbered years, and <br />three members being appointed in September of odd-numbered years. <br /> <br />(d) At least five of the members must reside within the city limits. Up to two <br />members may reside outside the city limits. <br /> <br />(e) The Commission shall elect a chair and vice-chair from among its members at <br />its first meeting each year after the appointment of members. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />4 <br />
