<br />(3) Street, industrial means a street which serves as the principal access to an <br />industrial development. Large vehicles such as WB-SOs utilize these streets. <br />thereby requiring greater area for circulation and movement. Driveway access is <br />limited to accommodate higher traffic volumes and larger vehicles. On-street <br />parking is generally limited or restricted on these streets. <br /> <br />(1) Street, local or residential means a street used primarily for access to <br />abutting residential property and circulation of traffic within residential <br />neighborhoods. It is of a v/idth and design to discourage through traffic, thereby <br />protecting the residential area. .^.. local street serves the same purpose in a <br />commercial or industrial district. <br /> <br />(1 ~) Street, marginal access means a street parallel and adjacent to an arterial <br />street and which primarily provides vehicular access to abutting properties and <br />protection from through traffic. <br /> <br />(5) Street, major arterial means a street, including freeway service roads, <br />whose main purpose is to serve as a maior route into, out of, or across an urban <br />area. Typically. neither parking nor access to residential uses is permitted. <br /> <br />(6) Street, minor arterial means a street whose main purpose is to serve as a <br />minor route through and between centers in urban areas. Typically, neither <br />parking nor access to residential uses is permitted. <br /> <br />(7) Street, neighborhood collector means a street to serve between <br />subdivisions or districts. These streets provide limited access to abutting <br />properties. On-street parking is restricted on these streets. <br /> <br />(~ 6) Street, private or service drive means a vehicular accessway under <br />private ownership and maintenance that has not been dedicated to the city and <br />accepted by the city. <br /> <br />(9) Street. residential means a street used primarily for access to abutting <br />residential property and circulation of traffic within residential neighborhoods. It <br />is of a width and design to discourage through traffic. thereby protecting the <br />residential area. A local street serves the same purpose in a commercial or <br />industrial district. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Section 11O.043(b) of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining <br />indicates added language and o';erstrike indicates deleted language): <br /> <br />(b) The subdivision master plan shall be drawn at a scale of not less than one inch to 500 <br />feet on a topographic map.
